Jewelry Guide

We make your solid gold jewelry in small, made-to-order batches. As the pieces are individually handcrafted using a combination of traditional techniques and new processes, there will be slight variances in detail and texture — making each one unique and more personal.

Materials

Modern Myth uses high quality and enduring materials – from precious metals to carefully selected diamonds and natural gemstones.

Solid Gold

We use solid 18k gold and 14k gold for our fine jewelry.

Solid gold is highly valuable and preserves its worth over time. As a precious metal, it resists time and wear, maintaining its appearance without oxidation or discoloration. These qualities make solid gold the best choice for those who wear their jewelry daily.

Diamonds and Gemstones

Our diamonds and gemstones are responsibly and ethically sourced. Since each stone is natural and one-of-a-kind, slight variations in color may occur.

Our jewelry is crafted to be worn every day and for years to come, withstanding the rigors of daily use while maintaining its charm and appeal over time.

The beauty of solid gold lies in its inherent resilience, allowing it to be reused and recycled into new fine jewelry while retaining its intrinsic value. Gold has circularity. Even gold mined hundreds of years ago is still in use today. These characteristics all the more make any solid gold jewelry a sustainable piece.

As an independent jewelry brand, we keep a small network of suppliers for gold, diamonds, and gemstones. By keeping our supply chain lean, we are able to ensure that our suppliers adhere to certain standards such as tracing the provenance of materials and employing conflict-free practices.

Jewelry Care

We want your Modern Myth piece to look its very best and in perfect condition, so here are some steps in taking care of your jewelry.

Wearing
  • Wait until your lotion or perfume has set in before putting on your jewelry.
  • Take your jewelry off when doing rough work that may damage the shape of the piece or a stone that’s been set.

Cleaning
  • In order to maintain its shine, use a very soft cloth to gently clean the surface of your jewelry.
  • You may wash your jewelry in warm water with mild soap. If you have to scrub, do it lightly using a soft bristled brush. Rinse well in clean water and dry with a soft towel. You can use a polishing cloth afterwards for extra luster.

Storing

  • When not worn, store your jewelry in a sealed container or in the pouch provided.
  • Try to keep the pieces separate so that they don’t tangle up or scratch against one another.

Understanding the materials used and how to care for your jewelry will help ensure the longevity and upkeep of each piece.
